Church Finances

Girdwood Chapel was founded in 1951 as a "mission church" within the Alaska Conference, a missionary conference of the United Methodist Church.  While our congregation has the long-term goal of growing to the point of self-sufficiency, the fact is, our congregation is VERY small.  (The population of Girdwood is about 2,000 people.)  We continue to rely with thankful hearts on the financial support we receive from friends here in Alaska and elsewhere*.

If you would like to help us financially, you can do so in several ways:

1.  Donate by check to:  Girdwood Chapel, Box 1068, Girdwood AK 99587

2.  Contribute online (click on the highlighted link below):

3. You can also donate to Girdwood Chapel while you shop online!  Over 1,000 online stores participate in this program (e.g. Amazon, Best Buy, Expedia).  Each company donates a small portion of your purchase to our chapel.  Go to this website to find out more about this program (click on the highlighted link below):

Thank you, in advance, for your gift to Girdwood Chapel!
